OU IT Back to School Updates

We’re looking forward to a great year and have some exciting updates to share for fall 2014!

Adobe Creative Cloud | OU leadership has committed to funding an annual subscription for Adobe Creative Cloud for Enterprise. This subscription delivers access to Adobe Creative Cloud applications for faculty, staff, and IT-managed computer labs. We will follow up with additional details as we have them.

Mobile Plaza | OU mobile apps, available for use on iPads and iPhones, help faculty, staff, and students connect to University services and resources. You can find the OU App, OU4YOU, and OU2GO by visiting http://www.ou.edu/mobile-plaza.

LMS Pilot | OU will continue to use D2L as its Learning Management System (LMS) for the 2014-15 academic year. This decision was based on the results of a survey and pilot completed by many of our faculty and instructors. Recent revisions to the D2L platform have improved the user experience, and the instructors in the pilot preferred to stay with the current LMS.

iClicker | OU’s preferred and supported clicker, iClicker, increases classroom participation by enabling students to “click” to respond to professors’ questions. To receive your free instructor’s equipment, please email Mandy Gunnell amanda.gunnell@macmillan.com with course number, course enrollment, classroom location, and preferred shipping address.

Digital Spaces | Faculty and staff can take advantage of Digital Spaces office hours to receive face-to-face support from one of our technicians or administrators. Find answers to your questions about D2L, MyMedia, iClicker, and more. Visit us in Engineering Lab 250 on Mondays 2-4 PM or Thursdays 9-11 AM.
