First Round of Lightning Talks Scheduled

As part of the OU Digital Initiative, Information Technology and the Center for Teaching Excellence want to highlight innovative instructors by sharing what they are doing in the classroom. On April 25th, Dr. Jeff Provine will be speaking on using Youtube as a media database, Dr. Samuel Huskey will cover using the open source Drupal CMS to manage an undergraduate research project and Mario Rosas will give a quick introduction to the faculty capture kit program.

Thursday, April 25th, 9:30AM to 10:15AM
Event will be held at the OU IT Store Community Space, 329 W. Boyd

Plenty of street parking (please bring quarters)
Coffee and pastries will be provided[/box]

“Lightning Talks” are a handful of 5-10 minute presentations that will be followed by discussion. They are open to all faculty and will be held once a month. If you are interested in presenting at a future talk, please fill out the form located here.

  1. Super! My students do that a lot too and of course since the link works for you if you’re logged in to your email, it’s hard to even see that it’s an odd link. I hope there will be materials posted for these talks and such for those who cannot attend. They sound great.
