OU Desire2Learn Annual Course Archive

Each year Desire2Learn administrators must archive older courses from D2L in order to ensure optimal availability and resources for the university’s current courses. The current policy calls for courses 3 years or older to be removed from D2L. Our annual course archive will begin on July 15th, 2012.

Only courses listed in the following semesters in D2L will be removed.  Please note that once the archive has started, it is extremely difficult and time-consuming to recover any data from these old courses and as a result, may incur a processing fee.

The upcoming archive will remove ALL courses prior to Summer 2009 from D2L, including the following:

  • August Intersession 2008
  • Fall 2008
  • Dec. Intersession 2008
  • Spring 2009
  • May Intersession 2009

We are happy to help move this content into a permanent spot within D2L but it is important to notify us as soon as possible if you are interested in this optionAny affected courses can be found on the “05-09-Courses Inst” tab on My Home within D2L.

Please contact us at learn@ou.edu or 405-325-4357 to request that a course be moved to a permanent semester before 2pm on Friday, July 13th.
